Church's Chicken
I had Church's Chicken tonight for the first time in quite a while. I had the standard chicken tenders and crinkle-cut fries. It is hard for me to avoid comparisons between Church's and Popeye's, but Church's might have a leg up, at least in regards to their tenders. They were somewhat small, but tremendously juicy with an appropriate coating. My biggest complaint would probably be with the flavor of the coating - they were a bit mild for my taste. This makes the first bite of each enter somewhat bland. However, once the juice from the chicken kicks in, the rest of the tender is a delight. While the crinkle-cut fries are no match for Popeye's Cajun fries, they complemented the chicken nicely. I look forward to trying them again.
